Finding a photographer in South Africa usually means trawling Instagram hashtags, asking in a Facebook group, or paying a lead-generation site that sells your enquiry to five businesses at once. We thought there should be something simpler.

findphotographers.co.za is a free directory. Clients search by town, genre and budget, then enquire with the photographer directly. Photographers list for free and keep every cent of what they earn — we take no commission on bookings and charge nothing per lead.

What we will not do

• Sell your enquiry to multiple photographers.
• Publish a photographer's email address for scrapers to harvest.
• Let anyone buy a review, a rating, or a verified badge.

How rankings work

Paid plans affect placement in a limited, clearly-labelled way. Everything else — profile completeness, verification status, review score and relevance to your search — is earned. Our "best of" lists ignore payment tier entirely.
