Wedding Photographers
Wedding photography is the largest and most competitive category in South Africa, and also the one where the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive shooter is widest. A full day in the Cape Winelands with a two-person team, an engagement shoot and an album sits in a very different bracket to four hours at a Highveld farm venue with digital delivery only. What you are actually paying for is time on the day, a second shooter, editing hours, and the insurance of someone who has worked your venue before.

Elopement Photographers
Elopements have grown fast in South Africa, helped by mountain, coastal and bushveld locations that need no styling at all. An elopement photographer works differently to a wedding photographer: fewer people, more walking, more weather, and a much larger share of the day spent on portraits. Many double as informal guides who know which Cape Peninsula or Drakensberg spots have permits, parking and good late light.

Flying a drone for any commercial purpose requires a Remote Pilot Licence and an operating certificate, and the rules on proximity to people, roads, airports and private property are strict and enforced.
