Responsible party

findphotographers.co.za is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website. Information officer contact: privacy@findphotographers.co.za.

Lawful basis for processing

• Consent: you tick the consent box before an enquiry is sent to a photographer.
• Contract: account and billing data for photographers on paid plans.
• Legitimate interest: hashed technical data used to block spam and abuse.

Minimality

We collect only the fields needed for a photographer to reply to you. Enquiry forms never ask for ID numbers, addresses or payment details.

Recipients

An enquiry is disclosed to the single photographer you contacted. Operators who process data on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) are bound by written agreements and may not use the data for their own purposes.

Cross-border transfer

Some infrastructure providers store data outside South Africa in jurisdictions with comparable data-protection laws, as permitted by section 72 of POPIA.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@findphotographers.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at complaints.IR@justice.gov.za.

Retention

Enquiries: 24 months. Reviews: while the listing is live. Account and billing records: as long as required by tax and company law. Hashed technical logs: 6 months.
